I apologize for not posting but, my spring/summer line has been held up with many print issues. I am having a challenging time translating glossy paint to fabric. Here are some of the best of the new line. It’s gonna be small, but good. Let me know what you think. They will be up on the website very soon.
The LA Art Book Fair was a blast. The energy was electric. I can’t put my finger on why, perhaps it was a great mix of high art books and small xeroxed zines. The demographic of the crowd was the same. A nice blend of well paid urban creative professionals and artists who are getting it done by any means necessary. It made for a real inspiring vibe. I had my son and a large stroller with me ( really bad move) so I didn’t get a chance to snap any great pics. Here’s a sample of one of the zine’s I picked-up. The following photos were taken by Louisa Behnke.
This book is wonderful, eerie and sad at the same time. Carlo was a successful architect and designer. From 1960-73 he started bringingwomen, friends and women of the night back to his Villa in Turin where he meticulously dressed and staged them for these polaroid photo sessions. Thousands have been uncovered and have been put together in this book. Here are some of the more tame images.
